 Waste for any IPOD January 5, 2009

I have used this product on an IPOD Nano, Touch, and Classic. It not only would not charge them, it killed the battery in less than 5 minutes. The car charger is a total waste. The wall charger will work if you don't move it and find the perfect position to leave your IPOD. But if a gentle breeze shifts it slightly, it will go back to killing your battery. Listen to the negative reviews. If not, please use this on an IPOD that is under warranty so you can get a new one when it wrecks your IPOD.
OH! and the USB adapter will work, for a few days. Then, it is on it's way to the landfill

I was concerned about whether this product was worth buying, given the mixed reviews and bad experiences that some of the other people rating it have had. However, having used it for the past several months and road-tested all items with thorough abuse, I am pleased to report that they continue to work flawlessly. The only reasons I'm not giving this set 5 stars are 1) they FEEL cheap, as if they might fall apart at any moment, even though they haven't, and 2) the length of the cord is absurdly short - barely long enough to reach from a wall outlet to the top of a table that is directly adjacent to it. If they added a second, longer, non-retractable cable to this kit, it would be a perfect ipod power solution. As it is, for less than five bucks, it's a great buy.

This item is a must have for iPod owners considering that iPods do not come with standard AC oulet chargers--iPods receive charge when connected to computer through the USB connection. Additionally, the versatility of having both wall outlet and car outlet adapter is perfect for travel. The retractable Hotsync cable is a HUGE plus. I can't stand wires all over the place. Plus the cable doubles as a USB Hotsync cable for laptop/desktop to iPod. Considering the whole kit cost me less than $15 bucks on Amazon.com, it's too bad that iPods don't automatically come with the kit. This is a must have item!
